CRU enjoyed a successful run in the late 1990s after dropping Da Dirty 30, a universally praised album. They were one of the first Hip-Hop groups to use a Sade sample and set the gold standard.

The song "My Everlovin'" uses a sample from the title track off  Stronger Than Pride.
